Have admired this chandelier for a long time ... wonder how it would look over the kitchen table?

Three-Tier Fruit Basket Stand - Sur La Table

Three-Tier Fruit Basket Stand - Sur La Table

... would have to go on the island as it is 19" tall... but am looking for something like this or a two-tiered plate for storing large grapefruits and other fruit....may take up less space than my current crystal bowl.

Upon further review ... this stand is too big for my purposes, will have to look further -- is there a two-tier fruit basket stand?

Update 2/28/2011:

Bought the three-tiered fruit basket stand and turned it into a two-tiered one below:

Sits on the counter under the cabinets so as not to take up island space .... third level made it 19" which was just one inch too tall for the space ... now fits perfectly and holds a lot of fruit!

The top tier can be used separately, which is one good thing about putting things together yourself -- you can adapt them to your own purposes.

Put together the counter stools today -- very easy to do. Just the right height, comfortable and they swivel:

Backsplash in Progress

Had to decide if veins should be vertical or horizontal -- vertical. Poor tile guy had to hold heavy 18X18 marble tile both ways so I could decide, then changed my mind and did it again. Both looked nice, but think vertical will minimize grout lines:
